Professional Studies Day January 29, 2008

 Seminar Catalog

   Professional Studies

     Tuesday, January 29, 2008

The objective of the Professional Studies Team is to provide Tech’s faculty with meaningful and enriching opportunities for professional and personal development.  The team thanks all of those teachers who have volunteered to facilitate seminars for the benefit of our colleagues.  We hope that after reviewing this seminar selection menu in this booklet, everyone will participate in an activity that is edifying and useful.

We are always eager to have additional professional development suggestions and facilitators for upcoming staff development dates.  Please share suggestions and ideas with Susan Ullman, the PST chairperson, at sullman@schools.nyc.gov or by dropping a note in her mailbox in 1W8.

January 29, 2008Professional Studies Day

Schedule

Morning Session: 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Lunch:   11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Afternoon Session: 12:30 p.m.- 3 p.m.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Please review the proposed seminars for January 29, 2008.  Kindly return this completed form to Room 1W8 (opposite the time clock) by 12noon on Friday, January 25, 2008.  Everyone, including facilitators, must return a preference sheet with three choices.  Facilitators must choose their seminar as their first choice.  All day seminars must be listed in the AM portion of the seminar preference sheet.  You can list both all day and AM seminars as choices in the AM section.  If you are choosing any half day AM seminar, you must also provide three PM choices.  For example, if your first choice in the AM portion of the seminar preference sheet is an all day seminar, and your second choice is a half day seminar, you must provide three PM seminar choices. You may repeat an AM seminar in the PM session.  No all day seminars should be listed in the PM portion of your seminar selection sheet.  Failure to hand in a preference sheet by the deadline will result in a selection being made for you.
